WELCOME TO NIRVANA
Inspired by the magic of the word 'Nirvana', our mission is to create a friendly, welcoming space where curiosity and your mind-body connection come first. In short, we’re all about good vibes, great yoga, and leaving your mat feeling lighter, calmer, and happier.
WHAT SETS US APART?
-
A VIBRANT COMMUNITY
More than a studio, Nirvana is a place to belong. Connect with others who share your journey, turn strangers into friends, and find support as you grow on and off the mat.
-
CURIOSITY
Nirvana means “total happiness and liberation” and we want our classes to reflect that. When you arrive on your mat, expect a sense of play, a laid-back environment, and tunes that match the rhythm of your soul.
-
YOGA ACCESSIBILITY
Beginners or seasoned yogis, our supportive teachers make every class approachable for all skill levels. Affordable options like our weekly $5 Community Flow keep yoga open to all.
-
CONSISTENCY
We don’t just talk the talk, but we walk the… downward facing dog! Studio guidelines are upheld everyday and outlined in our FAQs here. With consistent opportunities to show up for yourself, our goal is for you to feel supported, confident, and part of a community.

CHELSEA YEOMAN
OWNER, LEAD INSTRUCTOR
My yoga journey began during a college summer internship in Denver, where I discovered how great yoga made my body and mind feel—especially as someone managing scoliosis since childhood. After many years of teaching and deepening my practice in Grand Rapids, MI, I felt called to bring that passion back to my hometown. In March 2024, I opened Nirvana Yoga House with a vision of creating a welcoming and lighthearted space where everyone can feel empowered to explore their practice, connect with others, and, of course, flow to plenty of vibey tunes!
Aside from yoga, I love spending time with my little family and our animals, traveling, and boating or paddle boarding on our lake.
MY NIRVANA:
The sun hitting my face, the post-class Buti bliss, the view at the end of a hike. -

DANNY TOUHEY
I’m Danny, and I am so excited to move with you! Last year, I moved back to my hometown, Niles MI, after living in NYC for 11 years. While in NYC, I discovered my two passions: acting and yoga. I am fascinated by the information we store in our physical body, and how yoga and movement can be practiced to unlock that information. When I’m not on my mat, I love to travel, visit museums, see theater, and hike. If I can be outside, I am!
MY NIRVANA:
Lying under a canopy of trees and watching the sun dance through the leaves, being on stage exploring the human condition with other artists, deep belly laughs. -
CAITLIN HOERSTMAN
I’m Caitlin and I’m SO EXCITED to be on this yoga teaching journey at Nirvana. From the moment I stepped in the studio it felt like home to me. I cannot wait to get to know each and every one of you. I completed my yoga teacher training in 2024, but I’ve been taking yoga classes on and off for around 10 years.
Outside of yoga I am a HUGE animal lover, my husband and I have four rescue pups and I even own my own dog treat bakery! I love curling up on the couch with my pups, a good book or some type of reality tv. I love being outside or in the water. I’m definitely a true Cancer!
MY NIRVANA:
Sun out, windows down, music playing. I’m a sucker for good tunes. An early morning sunrise grounding session when the grass is cool between my toes. -

KARA YEOMAN-DUONG
I’m Kara and I am so excited to be a part of Nirvana Yoga House. I started practicing yoga over 12 years ago and it has forever changed my life! I completed my yoga teacher training in 2024 here at Nirvana. I became a yoga teacher to not only deepen my practice, but to also give me an outlet as a mom of three littles and to pursue something I am passionate about.
MY NIRVANA:
Sunsets on the lake, hugs + kisses from my three babes, live outdoor music. -

ABIGAIL WERNER
I’m Abigail and I’m so happy to be a part of the Nirvana family! I’ve been practicing yoga since 2019. I completed my yoga teacher training in 2022 while I was living in Nashville, TN.
I’m so happy I found Nirvana when I moved back to Northern Indiana!
MY NIRVANA:
Sitting on the porch with a coffee and my golden retriever or hanging in a hammock near the lake with a good book. 📚 -

ANNA CENOVA
I’m Anna and I am so honored and happy to be a part of the Nirvana Yoga House team. I completed my yoga teacher training here at Nirvana in May of 2025 and have been practicing in some way, shape, or form, for over 4 years. This yoga studio is so special and near to my heart and I am beyond excited to be a part of its safe, fun, and loving environment.
Off the mat, I’m a graduate student pursuing my masters in mental health counseling. I love to read, learn new things, and spend time in nature.
MY NIRVANA:
Sitting near the lake, listening to the waves, soaking up the sun, with my nose in a book. I also love rainy nights in, cozied up with my two cats. -

SHAR RACH
I'm Shar, and I'm thrilled to be part of the Nirvana team and community. I completed my Yoga Teacher Training here at Nirvana in May 2025, but first stumbled upon yoga in 2016 while living out in California. Through my practice, I've found a profound sense of connection and balance and it's helped me appreciate every single one of life's experiences - the triumphs and setbacks.
Off the mat, I'm very passionate about rock climbing, getting lost in a new art project, and exploring nature with my lil family.
MY NIRVANA:
Quiet, crisp mornings outside with a hot cup of coffee, late nights around a campfire, and cuddles with my little girl. -

GRACE ROSE
Yoga was something I was always drawn to, but I did not dive into my practice until January 2024. I completed my yoga teacher training in Bali, July 2024, and finished my Children’s and Buti Yoga certificates summer of 2025.
If I am not teaching yoga, you can find me busy teaching a classroom full of Kindergarteners. When I am not teaching, I love to read, travel, hike, garden, and spend time outside in the sun! I am beyond grateful that yoga found me.
MY NIRVANA:
Sipping a lavender matcha while thrifting, reading a series with my black cat on my lap, soaking up the sun at the beach, dancing, walking barefoot in my grandparent’s yard, seeing my favorite artists in concert. -

BRITTANY LAUER
Practicing Pilates is something I never knew my body needed until I started and was immediately obsessed with the way it made my body feel and the additional strength it provided and complemented my other workouts in the gym. For the last 14 years, I have lived and breathed all types of fitness within the Michiana community, ranging from running 13 half-marathons to a heavy emphasis on weight training.
After being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lumbar Spinal Stenosis as well as a litany of other health struggles, I decided to try incorporating some more low impact exercise to my routine. I started with Pilates Reformer, and immediately my back pain felt so much better than it had in a long time. I decided to give a few Pilates mat classes a whirl and loved the challenge of just myself and my body pushing through the movements and feeling my core consistently engaged and get stronger in the process. I noticed the strength I was building within my core was helping in my strength training as well as many other areas of life, as our core is our powerhouse for movement.
In already being a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach, I decided Pilates was something I wanted to be able to offer to others in the community so they could feel the benefits I have experienced. I am certified in Mat and Reformer Pilates through the highly accredited Balanced Body Pilates training program and have completed over 500 training hours.
Outside of teaching Pilates, I am a wife and mama of four kiddos as well as a local business owner. We love traveling as a family to different National Parks to hike and enjoy nature. I'm also a fan of early bedtimes, online shopping, a dramatic reality TV show, and Mexican food!
MY NIRVANA:
Slow mornings, actually getting to take a Pilates class as a student (not the teacher), movie nights with my family, watching my kids explore the beauty of our National Parks and nature, chips + queso, a Dirty Diet Dr. Pepper from Sonic 😉
